Implementing an LMS takes 2 to 6 weeks if you follow an orderly process: assessment, selection, installation and configuration, branding, academic structure, content migration, a pilot with a real group, and launch with administrator training. This guioftails each phase with its deliverables and the mistakes you must avoid.

1. Assessment (week 1): users, existing content, integrations, infrastructure. 2. Selection: a platform based on the 7 criteria. 3. Installation and configuration: a server tuned from day one (PHP, database, Redis for caching, Nginx). 4. Branding: the platform with your identity — adoption starts there. 5. Academic structure: categories, paths, roles, and permissions. 6. Content migration/upload: SCORM courses, users via CSV or integration. 7. Pilot (2 weeks): a real business area, adoption metrics, adjustments. 8. Launch + administrator training: manuals, a help desk, and an internal communication plan.
Launching without a pilot (problems surface in production), underestimating hosting (an LMS with 500 concurrent users doesn't live on shared hosting — ask for optimization with Redis/Nginx), and treating adoption as an announcement email instead of an internal campaign with incentives.
