Integrated management system for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001

Quality, environment and occupational health and safety in a single system: one policy, one process map, one risk methodology, one internal audit and one management review. Fewer documents, fewer audit days and one way of working.

What is an integrated management system?

It is a single system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) at once. It is possible because the three standards share the harmonized structure: the same ten clauses and the same common requirements for context, leadership, planning, support, evaluation and improvement. What is specific to each standard —customer requirements, environmental aspects, hazards— is added on top of that common base.

What gets integrated and what stays specific

The common parts are done once; the specific parts keep their technical rigor.

1

One policy, aligned objectives

An integrated policy and quality, environmental and OH&S objectives that do not compete with each other.

2

One context and interested parties

A single analysis of context, interested parties and scope for all three standards.

3

One risk methodology

Process risks, environmental aspects and OH&S hazards assessed with compatible criteria.

4

Single document control

One procedure, one master list and one format: the triple binder is gone.

5

Integrated internal audit

One program and one audit team covering the three standards in fewer days.

6

One management review

A single meeting with all the inputs, instead of three sets of minutes nobody reads.

Integration

If you already hold one standard, the second costs half

A company certified to ISO 9001 already has much of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 solved: document control, competence, audit, nonconformities and management review. Integration focuses on what is truly new.

  • Environmental aspects, impacts and life cycle
  • Hazards, OH&S risks and the hierarchy of controls
  • Environmental and STPS legal requirements
  • Emergency preparedness and response
  • Consultation and participation of workers

Process

How we integrate your systems

Five phases; starting from one certified standard, the project usually takes 5 to 8 months.

  1. Integrated assessment

Gaps against the three standards and a map of what you already meet.

    Deliverable: three-standard gap report
  2. System design

Scope, integrated policy, process map and common risk methodology.

    Deliverable: system architecture
  3. Specific requirements

Environmental aspects, OH&S hazards and legal requirements registers.

Deliverable: environmental, OH&S and legal matrices
  4. Rollout and training

Operational controls, emergencies and staff training with records.

    Deliverable: system running with records
  5. Integrated audit and certification

Three-standard internal audit, management review and support with the certification body.

    Deliverable: findings closed

Already hold one standard and want to add the others?

In the assessment we tell you which part of your current system serves all three standards and what is missing, with three fixed-price scopes.

01

The three standards, separately or together

See each piece: ISO 9001 consulting, ISO 14001 consulting and ISO 45001 consulting. The timing is right: the ISO 9001:2026 transition and the new ISO 14001:2026 force a review of the system anyway.

02

So the system keeps itself alive

The legal requirements register covers environmental and STPS obligations in one place, management system digitalization removes the triple binder and maintenance on retainer keeps it alive between audits.
